The Drowsy Chaperone

With the house lights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life, and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan, and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.

Please be aware that the show starts in total darkness. If patrons arrive late, they will be held in the lobby until the hold is over (about five minutes). Please be on time.

There is no intermission in this show. The show has a running time of about 110 minutes. Concessions will be available before the show, but will close once the show has started.

Content Warning: This show is rated PG and includes mild innuendo, suggestive jokes, depictions of alcohol and tobacco use, a brief seduction scene, and playful caricatures and tropes typical of 1920s Golden Age musicals.

The Saturday evening show is Senior Night. We will be recognizing our seniors. This recognition will be in two parts, with some seniors recognized 15 minutes before the show begins. The remaining seniors will be recognized afterward.
