The Wrap

Before his debut album Country Club went platinum and launched him to stardom, Travis Tritt was an HVAC repairman working long hours at a wholesaler in Marietta. One night in the early 1980s, he stopped at a bar for a beer, watched a guy play acoustic guitar for three hours, and decided he could do that job. Atlanta Magazine tells the story of his bar-circuit days. Not a bad career change.
